The Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau is primarily involved in the business of construction, consultancy and any engineering related activities. It operates through its Construction and Consultancy segments. Its Construction segment involves the design engineering and construction of various infrastructure projects, including dams, tunnels, and highways. Its Consultancy arm involves expertise in architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, irrigation and environmental engineering, amongst others. It has also given consultations on nationally important infrastructure such as Kaluganga, Moragahakanda,Uma oya, and Broadlands. Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB) was established as a fully owned State Enterprise by the Government of Sri Lanka in 1973. It is headquartered in Colombo.
