Chilaw Plantation Ltd is involved in Agri Business Management. Its operations are divided into three segments: Coconut and Inter Crop Production, Animal Husbandry, and Value Added Products. While its main crop is coconut, it also grows other inter crops such as cashew, mango, rambutan, and spices. In its animal husbandry segment, it conducts the Buffalo project, in which the fresh milk from buffaloes is used in the manufacture of curd and yoghurt, and the Sheep Project, in which sheep are bred and sold. Its Value Added segment involves the production and sale of cashews, coconut oil and Buffalo curd and yoghurt, which are sold through their Sales outlets and its Head Office, based in Chilaw. The Chilaw Plantations was founded in 1982.
