The Development Lotteries Board has the primary objective of creating a sustainable scheme for the generation of funds for the President’s Fund and the Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund in order to contribute to poverty alleviation, educational development and other development activities. Its products include several varieties of lotteries: Saturday Fortune, Kotopathi Shanida, and others. The Development Lottery Board was founded in 1983, and its headquarters are based in Colombo.
