Milco Ltd is one of Sri Lanka’s largest dairy companies. Its principal activity is engaging in the business of collecting, processing, packing, distributing and marketing milk products. These products include pasteurised and sterilised milk, yoghurt, curd, butter, milk powder and others. It owns four factories to carry out the aforementioned processes: the Colombo Milk Factory, Ambewela Spray Dried Milk Factory, Digana Milk Factory, and the Polonnaruwa Condensed Milk Factory. This institution was established in 1956 as “The National Milk Board” under the purview of the Ministry of Agriculture. Its headquarters are in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
