The National Lottery Board’s main objective includes generating funds to meet the development needs of the Government through conducting Draw and Scratch lotteries. Some of these lotteries contribute to a specific cause, such as “Neeroga”, which provides funds to alleviate kidney disease in Sri Lanka, or “Govisetha”, which contributes to the Farmers Trust Fund for the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands. The National Lottery Board was established in 1955 and is headquartered in Colombo.
