The Sri Lanka Ports Authority is the state-owned operator of major commercial ports in Sri Lanka. It is responsible for operating ports in Colombo, Galle, Hambantota, Kankesanthurai, Oluvil, Point Pedro and Trincomalee. Its operations in these ports include Berthing, Imports, Exports, Development Projects and Procurement. The SLPA was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Colombo.
