SriLankan Airlines is the national carrier of Sri Lanka based in Colombo. Its Business Units are divided into four segments: SriLankan Airport and Ground Services; SriLankan Aviation College (SLAC); SriLankan Engineering (SLE) and SriLankan Catering Limited. The SriLankan Airport and Ground Services is involved in handling flights, passengers, baggage and other cargo operations. The SriLankan Aviation College is the training arm of SriLankan Airlines and extends comprehensive aviation study options to students and working professionals. SriLankan Engineering is the in-house aircraft maintenance division of the carrier, while SriLankan Catering is the sole provider of inflight catering at the Bandaranaike International Airport. SriLankan Airlines was founded in 1979 and has its headquarters in Katunayake, Sri Lanka.
