Sri Lanka receives 8 RfQ from “potential investors” for Lanka Hospitals PLC

The Sri Lankan government has received 8 Requests for Qualification (RfQ) from potential investors for the acquisition of shares in The Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC, the State-Owned Enterprises Restructuring Unit said.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s government is in the process of divesting some profit as well as loss making state-owned enterprises in a move to reduce losses after an unprecedented economic crisis and moving away from government directly involved in businesses.

The State-Owned Enterprises Restructuring Unit, which is under the Ministry of Finance, said it called for RfQs on October 18, 2023 for the acquisition of shares in the Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC with the deadline at 2pm on Tuesday, 21st November 2023.
