Sri Lanka to revise National Savings Bank Act to make bank more competitive

Sections of the National Savings Bank Act No.30 of 1971 are to be amended to facilitate the bank’s functions in a competitive financial market, a cabinet statement said.

“The National Savings Bank has found it difficult to cope with the competitive and rapidly changing financial market due to the limitations existing in the National Savings Bank Act No.30 of 1971.
